Dr. Daniel Vassell

Dr. Daniel and Jenny Vassell been married for over 36 years and are graduates of Pentecostal Theological Seminary, a Ministry of the Church of God, Cleveland TN. Jenny holds a MA in Marriage and Family and Daniel earns a DMin., in Marriage and Family. They have been providing counseling to marriages and families for over thirty years. They have been conducting family, premarital, and marital counseling with outstanding results. They have ministered throughout the U.S., Canada, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean islands.

Dr. and Mrs. Vassell are internationally recognized speakers addressing marriage and family issues. He is the author of, The Love Factor in Marriage, Becoming Jesus’ Disciple and co-author with Jenny, The Love Factor, Explore Truths you Need to Know Before you say, “I Do” and The Epic Marriage, the Spirit Filled Living, and Living the Blessing Filled Life NOW. He has written several articles and served as a writer on marriage and family issues for Christian News Magazine, published monthly in Durban, South Africa.

Jenny is a psalmist and have released three musical worship projects called, Its My Desire, I Give My All and His Love Never Fails.

Dr. Vassell lives in Cleveland, TN with his ministry companion and wife, Jenny. He serves the Church of God as the Mobilize Coordinator and Jenny serves as his administrative assistance. Their daughter, Aleah, is a graduate of University of Knoxville, TN with a MFA in acting and his son, James, currently resides in Cleveland, TN with his wife, Angela and granddaughter Amari Jo. James is a doctoral student at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary.

Daniel and Jenny Vassell enjoy reading, fishing, and most of all, spending time with family.

Dr. Cheryl Bridges-Johns

Cheryl Bridges Johns serves as Senior Professor in the Robert E. Fisher Chair of Spiritual Renewal at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary.

Cheryl’s academic career has spanned thirty-four years. She has distinguished herself as a writer, lecturer, preacher.

For twenty-seven years Cheryl served as co-pastor of New Covenant Church of God, a church she and her husband, Jackie David Johns planted.

She has two daughters and five grandchildren.

Cheryl’s latest book is Seven transforming gifts of Menopause: An Unexpected Spiritual Journey.

Dr. Mark L. Williams

Reverend Mark L. Williams serves as Lead Pastor for North Cleveland Church of God. Williams previously served as General Overseer for the Church God, the highest leadership role in the denomination, from 2012-2016. Williams also previously served as second assistant general overseer from 2008-2012. Prior to leading the Church of God on the International Executive Committee, Williams was state overseer for California- Nevada, and was a member of the International Executive Council. Williams began his ministerial career as an evangelist. In 1995 he accepted his first pastorate, leading the South Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee for four years, followed by a five-year tenure at the Riverhills Church in Tampa, Florida. Reverend Williams holds a Bachelor’s Degree and the Doctor of Divinity Degree from Lee University, M.Div. from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. He is married to Sandra Kay, and they have two sons, Austin, and Ryan.

Dr. Jonathan Ramsey

Bishop Dr. Jonathan Ramsey Jr. is a passionate world renowned Pentecostal preacher with a God given desire to reach the lost at any cost. He is a third generation pastor of the Church of God. His parents were pioneers in the state of Florida where they gave of themselves tirelessly for many years. Motivated by the call of God on his life and the example set by his parents and grandparents Dr. Ramsey continues to blaze a trail in the Christian community.

Dr. Jonathan Ramsey, Jr. is a graduate from Lee University. He then matriculated to the Church of God School of Theology where he received his Master of Divinity and Master of Arts Mental Health, Counseling. Later he furthered his studies and received a Licentiate of Theology from Overstone Theological Seminary. In May of 1996, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy from the European Theological Seminary. He is also a certified Marriage and Family Therapist through Prepare Enrich.

Dr. Ramsey started his first church in Nashville TN, with 3 persons, himself, his wife and one other. The church grew to a membership of over 70 people. He then pastored the Brick Church Pike, COG in Daniel FL and eventually was appointed pastor of the prestigious Cathedral Church of God in FL where he served for 10 years. He pioneered major renovation projects, started a reading program, a food pantry and a strong singles and marriage ministry. This church became one of the leading churches in monetary giving in the Church of God’s Florida Cocoa region.

Dr. Ramsey has a wealth of knowledge having successfully served in the pastoral capacity for over thirty nine years. He is skilled in areas such as staff development, training, team building and Pastoral counseling. He is a lecturer, bible teacher and business administrator. He has been distinguished as the longest serving Administrative Bishop in the history of Southern New England Churches of God where he served five consecutive two year terms. He previously served as the Administrative Bishop over Florida, Cocoa where he raised funds in excess of $60,000 to offset costs of the campgrounds and existing mortgages in Florida.

Dr. Ramsey’s major accomplishments also include assisting in the acquisition and construction of nine churches in Southern New England. He established the first joint Camp Meeting between the Hispanic and the Southern New England Regional Offices. He achieved attendance in camp meetings reaching totals of 2,500. He relocated the regional offices from Massachusetts to Bloomfield, CT and oversaw initial renovations.

Dr. Ramsey is a prolific preacher and teacher of the gospel. He is a well sought after speaker who has been granted the privilege of preaching all over the world from Venezuela to Brazil, Canada, England, India, Bermuda, Bangladesh, and several African nations including Ghana and South Africa. He has also ministered extensively throughout the Caribbean in Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and the British Virgin Islands.

On December 29, 1984, Dr. Ramsey married the love of his life and college sweetheart, Reverend Laverne Ramsey. Their union has been blessed with three children: Ashley, Jonathan, and Nathan who are all actively involved in ministry.

Bishop Dr. Jonathan Ramsey, Jr. is currently pastoring the prestigious Rehoboth Church of God in Bloomfield, Connecticut. He leads his congregations and community in being spiritually, emotionally and socially responsible. Under his governance the church is a conduit for local and international community services and mission’s projects. He is a powerful preacher and teacher reaching out to those disenfranchised, those in crisis, and those needing to experience the love of God through Jesus the Christ.

Dr. Enrique de Jesus

Dr. Enrique Adrián De Jesús is originally from the island of Puerto Rico, Commonwealth of the United States of America. Married for almost 30 years with Odaris Rodríguez to who five children were born: Enrique Adrián Jr., Yahdiel E., Abiezer E., Darién O., and Kemuel E.. They have two daughters-in-law, Meghan and Matilda, and a beautiful granddaughter Joelle Grace.

At the age of seven, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior, expressing his desire to serve God faithfully in accordance with the covenant made before his calling in life and that of his family. Since then, he has been active in ecclesiastical ministry activities and tasks for approximately 36 years, having obtained his first credential as a minister of the Church of God, Cleveland, TN, in Puerto Rico in 1993. As an ordained bishop of the Church of God, Bishop De Jesús, along with his wife and children, have performed numerous ministries such as national directors of children’s ministry at Puerto Rico for two years, World Missions career missionaries in Spain for 10 years, educators and national education directors in several places (20 years plus), church planters of several multicultural congregations, pastors of three churches (i.e., Spain, California, and Cleveland, TN), and the present assignment being the director of the Department of USA Hispanic Educational Ministries in the United States and Canada (10 years). Bishop De Jesús has served as a member of several national and regional councils and boards. Among his most joyful moments of ministerial achievements are: having helped and served hundreds of different ethnic groups of peoples in recognizing Jesus as their Savior, having worked united with his wife and children in so many ministry related activities and events while pastoring, church planting, or directing the ministerial education in several multicultural contexts, and most of all, having married Odaris, the perfect wife from God for him.

Regarding academic preparation, Bro. De Jesús obtained a B.A. in education from the University of Puerto Rico, at the main campus of Río Piedras in 1989. Then, he graduated from the same university in 1994 with an M.Ed., specializing in Guidance and Counseling. He obtained a second master’s degree in 2003 (M.Div.), in this case in Divinities (M.Div.) at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary of the Church of God. In 2016, God gave him the honor of completing a doctorate in education (Ph.D.) from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He is using these degrees in service to the Lord Jesus Christ. Among other academic accomplishments, Bro. De Jesús obtained a Teacher’s License Certificate from the Department of Education in Puerto Rico, as well as a School Counselor License Certificate.

He has participated in several editions and publications of books. He worked at Editorial Evangélica for six years where he was part of the writers’ team for children and youth Biblical literature and participated in the planning and editing of the adult curriculum.

Dr. De Jesús has been active in serving not only the USA and Canada but also several of the Church of God missionary field premier institutions in various roles such as: educational seminars, curriculum design and training, biblical-ministerial-theological continuing education, and workshops for pastors and teachers, among many other themes. Within the USA and in several Latin American countries, Dr. De Jesús has offered administration training, ministerial mentoring and coaching, social research as applied to ecclesiastical contexts, served as a member of the Alliance for Latin American Education Board of the Church of God (ALEAL) for more than seven years. He is actually a member of the USA East Central Hispanic Regional Council, Southern Tennessee District Overseer, and founder and local pastor of the Way of Life Hispanic Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.

One of his main mottos is “All for the service and glory of God; I am a useless, unworthy servant because I did what I had to do according to God’s will in my life” (i.e., based on Luke 17:10).

One of his main goals as director of national Hispanic education in the USA and Canada is to help students become better learners and problem solvers from a reflective perspective, with biblical and hermeneutical-theological foundations; to train more effective holistic teachers in the Bible and ministry; and to assist younger generations in the development of a healthy Biblical character and lifestyle.

Dr. Tony Lombard

Dr. Tony Lombard is the Family Ministry Pastor at South Cleveland Church of God where he has served on staff since 2011. He is also the director of Cleveland Programs for On Point. On Point is a youth and family development organization that collaborates with schools and communities to cultivate the strengths in youth and guide them on their path to thrive. In addition, Dr. Lombard also serves as the regimental Chaplain for the 4th regiment of the Tennessee State Guard.

It is through these various ministries that Dr. Lombard has developed a deep insight into the struggles and pitfalls facing families. His passion for Marriage and Family ministry drove him to pursue post-graduate degrees in the field. He currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministries, a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Marriage and Family emphasis, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Marriage and Family emphasis. In addition, he holds the credentials of Ordained Minister with the Church of God and the rank of Captain within Tennessee State Guard.

Dr. Lombard has been happily married to the beautiful Shirleen Lombard for 17 years. Shirleen, a Lee University graduate, is from Trinidad and Tobago. They have two children, Faith (16) and Judah (15). The Lombards are avid sports fans and enjoy many family activities. These range from camping, biking, and hiking to family movie night at home.

Dr. Stafford and
Nicolette Peterson

Bishop Stafford Petersen is married to Nicolette and together they have two sons, Jason and Joshua.

Bishop Stafford has served the full gospel church of god in various capacities over his 28 years in the full time ministry.

He has served on the executive council of the church for over 16 years.

He was elected as the youngest regional overseer in cape town at the age of 31 and served in that capacity for over 12 years.

Dr Stafford served as secretary general of the Full Gospel Church of God in southern Africa since 2015 and has relocated to Pretoria to take up the full time position.

Prior to his election, Stafford pastored Shekinah Full Gospel Church of God in Cape Town for 12 years with a membership of just over 1600 members.

In October of 2017 Dr. Petersen was elected as the youngest General Overseer/Moderator for the Church of God in South Africa.

Dr Petersen also serves on the International Executive Council located in Cleveland Tennessee.

Pastor Stephen and
Jessica Miller

Stephen and Jessica have been married for 24 years and are the parents of three married young adults, Dylan, Kennedy and Collin, as well as one grandson Waylon and a grandchild on the way. His new role as Pop Pop is perhaps his favorite.

Stephen is passionate about marriage and family and helping others receive the healing and restoration that he and his wife have experienced through God’s powerful healing touch. His style is a mix of sound biblical truths coupled with humor and practical life application. He also likes to concentrate on helping others with preventive maintenance, as he puts it, to help them keep things healthy in their marriages, both before they get married through premarital counseling and throughout different seasons of marriage.

Prior to ministry, Stephen spent 15 years in the auto industry serving as a General Manager for the last 5 years before answering the call to Pastor. Stephen completed studies within the Church of God programs, CAMS as well as MIP and completed his final level of credentialing as an Ordained Bishop in 2017. Stephen Miller served as an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, filling the role of Executive Pastor at Crystal River Church of God for seven years.

Stephen and his wife Jessica are now the Lead Pastors of Redemption Point Church in Inverness, Florida. Stephen and Jessica trained with Marriage Restored for five years in order to serve as the Florida Administrators and conference presenters for Marriage Restored Ministries, (marriagerestored.com) an organization which provides weekends for couples in crisis across the United States.

They currently serve on the Board of Directors for Marriage Encounter (AGME.org), a weekend marriage conference ministry of the Assemblies of God headquartered in Springfield, MO. as well as teaching and speaking regularly in churches and at events through their own marriage ministry Love Never Fails Ministries. Jessica not only teaches, speaks and pastors alongside Stephen, but she also serves as the Client Services Director for Citrus Pregnancy Center, a ministry that helps women and families in crisis, where she trains volunteers, oversees two locations and counsels’ clients on a regular basis.

Stephen has authored two books, “Fight for Her, a Testimony of a Marriage in Crisis” a true story of their own life, and “Building a Healthy Marriage Ministry in the Local Church.” A “how to guide” to implementing marriage ministry in the local church.
